Symptom Considerations

• Contact your veterinarian.
• House soiling can mean there is a medical problem.
• Some questions to prepare for:
  • Is the leakage continuous?
  • When does it happen (at rest, after urination, while walking)?
  • When did you first notice it?
  • When urinating, does your cat pee small and frequent amounts?
  • Any change in color or smell of the urine?
• Your cat may need diagnostic tests such as:
  • Urinalysis and urine culture
  • Blood work
  • X-rays
  • Medications such as antibiotics or hormone supplements
